Cashmere

The Cashmere wool is produced by goats native of the Asian Kashmir region, an area characterised by inhospitable weather conditions. The quality of this yarn is unique and inestimable, thanks to its features of extreme softness, lightness and its extraordinary ability to protect in the same way from cold and heat. Moreover, Cashmere’s isolating power can be ten times stronger than the power of common wool.

The colour of this wool is generally white, but it could be found in brown, grey, dark brown and reddish. This fabric can be carded (soft, resistant and most of the time full) or combed (light, very resistant and free from the “pilling phenomenon”, that is the troublesome shaping of little balls in the worn out parts).
